MORTON have today signed Aberdeen youngster Frank Ross on loan.
The 19-year-old has penned a deal with the Cappielow club until the end of the season.
Ross has made a breakthrough into the Dons' first team squad this term, making 12 appearances, and he recently netted a spectacular free kick in a clash against Rangers.
The hot prospect is a Scotland youth international who is highly-rated by Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes, who has just extended the player's Pittodrie contract.
McInnes said: “We’re delighted at the level of club that Frank is joining, the Championship is extremely competitive and he’ll be working with Jim Duffy who has taken players from here in the past.
"While we’d have liked him to contribute this season, we’ve got to look at the bigger picture and Frank will benefit from regular football that will see him better prepared for the demands of playing for Aberdeen.
"We’re also delighted that Frank has signed a contract extension and we’re really looking forward to seeing how he gets on at Morton.”
