MORTON’S Michael Tidser says he feels like he is entering his prime years.

The midfielder has scored six times this term in just nine games, his best scoring tally since the 2012/13 campaign.

The 28-year-old put another penalty away last Saturday against Dundee United, and while he admits being on spot-kick duty helps, he’s always looking to find the net.

He told the Tele: “I believe in myself, I always go into games thinking I can score and being on the penalties as well always helps.

“If I can keep scoring, keep doing well and I’m 28 years old, I’m probably in my peak years.

“I still feel like I’ve got a good few years left in me, I’m enjoying playing with the boys in the team and hopefully we’ll kick on from there.”

The former Rotherham United player says Ton’s game management needs to be worked on, after they conceded a late Fraser Fyvie goal at the weekend, denying them a win.

He added: “We’ve got that bit of experience in the team and when we go to places like that we need to manage the game.

“You could see that we managed it well throughout the game, we were dealing with the long balls into the box, we resorted them to shooting from distance.

“It’s something for us to build on, it’s been a turbulent couple of weeks.

“We’ll dust ourselves down and hope to build on it from there.”
