MORTON manager Jonatan Johansson hopes his side can get their first win under him at Cappielow today.

Since the Finn took over, the Ton have earned two draws, one away to Dundee United and one at home to Dunfermline last week.

The 43-year-old loved the experience of being the home manager in the dugout in front of the Cappielow crowd.

But Johansson says his side have been hard at work trying to improve on their lacklustre display against the Pars and he hopes they can make amends today against league leaders Ayr United.

He told the Tele: “As an occasion it was fantastic, there was a big crowd there and it was nice to get going at home.

“I was disappointed with the game, more in terms of the way we played. There was disappointment after the game but everyone knew, we all held our hands up.

“When I came into the dressing room the boys were already talking about it. We were pleased we made ourselves determined to get back into the game, as at one stage I couldn’t see it.

“But then we started playing more direct, taking more passes and with the first few switches of play we scored the goal.

“I have to give Dunfermline credit though, they played differently, and were waiting more for the opponents to get the ball and then press. This week has been more concentrated and we did a lot more work on the pitch to get it right.”
