RYAN Scully says a tough month awaits for Morton as they’re set to rack up over 1,000 miles on the road in October.

The Ton’s first lengthy away trip comes today when Jonatan Johansson’s side head to Inverness to take on John Robertson’s men.

After a  home clash against Falkirk when former Ton boss Ray McKinnon returns to Cappielow, the Greenock side head to the Highlands again to face Ross County on October 27.

Then three days later a midweek trip finishes off the month with a journey down to Dumfries to taken on Queen of the South.

A few trips to the petrol station will need to be made for the Morton team bus and keeper Scully believes the journeys will feel even longer if they play like they did against Ayr United.

He told the Tele: “There are a tough few away games coming up for us this month and if we keep on putting in performances like that we know it will be a long few weeks.

“We need to stay positive, work a bit harder in training and kick on and get a good result against Inverness to kick start it.”
