MORTON’S youngsters could be playing against the future Wayne Rooney or Cristiano Ronaldo next month after a friendly against Premier League giants Manchester United was confirmed yesterday.
John Sutton’s reserve team will face the Old Trafford club’s under-23 side on Thursday November 15 at Cappielow, with a 2pm kick-off scheduled.
Ricky Sbragia’s young Red Devils squad will be up north of the border for a four-day training camp at the National Sports Training Centre in Largs.
Ton’s director of youth Derek Anderson agreed to the friendly and invitation to attend their training sessions.
The game will be open to the public, with £5 admission for adults and free entry for under-18s.
