JOHN Sutton has challenged his future Morton stars to go out and impress against English Premier League giants Manchester United today.
The Ton youngsters host a United team managed by under-23s boss Ricky Sbragia as part of their four-day training camp in Largs.
The Red Devils’ under-23s were last out against Juventus, earning a 2-2 draw away in Italy just before heading up to Scotland.
Sutton says after producing some dazzling displays this season, with a 3-1 victory over Celtic’s reserve side, the Morton head of development believes there’s no reason why they can’t win today’s friendly.
He told the Tele: “It’s cracking tie for the boys at Morton who want to get to the top and to test themselves against the likes of Manchester United, you can’t ask for any more than that in opposition.
“There’s no reason why we can’t win that game.
“We got a result against Celtic and it’s up to us at the end of the day, we weren’t a million miles away against a very good team in Motherwell earlier this week."
