MORTON were well beaten by Dunfermline Athletic at East End Park who ran out 3-0 winners on Saturday.

The hosts took an early lead when Aidan Keena fired in after three minutes, with Faissal El Bakhtaoui converting a penalty before the break after Gregor Buchanan had tripped him in the box.

While the Ton were improved in the second half, they never really threatened the Pars goal, with the hosts scoring a third on 86 minutes when James Craigen tapped in from close range.

It was a dominant display from Allan Johnston’s team, who could have been four or five-nil up inside the first 15 minutes, hitting the woodwork on three occasions, as well as having very good chances to extend their lead.
