ROBBY McCrorie was delighted to secure a clean sheet in his first game for Morton.

The goalkeeper joined the Ton on loan from Rangers until the end of the season on Friday.

The 20-year-old didn’t have one of his busier afternoons in goal, but was forced to make some vital saves in the second half.

After getting the early nod over Derek Gaston shortly after signing, the shotstopper said he was more than prepared to go into the starting line-up.

He told the Tele: “I enjoyed it, it’s a nice start for me, hopefully I can continue. It was a very back and forward game, and it was good to get going.

“I’ve been training at Rangers with the first team, but in terms of getting back into competitive games it was good to be straight back in.

“It was probably a good game for me, but there are lots of tough games coming up and I’m looking forward to them — and hopefully I can start in those as well.

“I knew on Friday that I would be starting after training.

“I missed half the session as I was still waiting for all the papers to go through!”
