MORTON were cruelly denied a win after Inverness Caley Thistle scored late on to make it 2-2 and damage the Ton’s survival chances at Cappielow last night.
The hosts found themselves behind from a brilliant solo effort from Anthony McDonald on 18 minutes before Ton bounced back nine minutes later when Reece Lyon fired in from outside of the box.
Greg Kiltie gave them the lead three minutes before the break after Gregor Buchanan was brought down in the box to make it 2-1.
The visitors took control of the game in the second period and their sustained pressure eventually paid off when Darren McCauley headed home after 88 minutes.
