MORTON’S unbeaten run at Cappielow came to an end last night with David Hopkin’s men suffering defeat at the hands of Ayr United.
Jack Baird put the hosts ahead before Craig Moore equalised for the Honest Men in a thrilling start to the second half.
After Greenock lad Luke McCowan turned the game on its head, Bob McHugh’s strike levelled for Ton but Craig McGuffie snatched the points with 12 minutes left.
