CAMERON Salkeld believes that Morton are fully capable of grabbing a result at Firhill in what he described as a ‘massive’ match for the club.
The Englishman hopes that he and his team-mates can come out firing as they look to push up the table after grabbing his first Ton goal in Friday night’s defeat to Dundee.
With the Ton still to pick up a point on the road, he believes that Firhill will be the place that they finally break their away hoodoo.
He told the Tele: “We’re going to have had a week to prepare and I’m sure the gaffer will have us firing on all cylinders.
“He’ll have a game plan for us too, which he’ll be expecting us to carry out.
“I’ve never been there before [Firhill] but we know what they’re like after beating them in dramatic fashion last time.
“It’s a winnable game for us.
“Every game in this league is winnable because it’s so tight and there’s hardly any difference between the sides.
“Three points can make a massive difference in terms of atmosphere and confidence, so hopefully that’s what we can get and break our curse away from home.”
Meanwhile, Morton left-back Lewis Strapp signed a contract extension to commit himself to the club until June 2022.
