MORTON finally picked up their first away points of the season courtesy of a Nicky Cadden howitzer and a goal from Jack Baird in the space of three minutes against Alloa.
Their victory in the relegation six-pointer saw them go two points above Partick Thistle as they rose to eighth place in the SPFL Championship.
