ROBBIE Muirhead is determined to repay the faith shown in him by gaffer David Hopkin after his man of the match performance against Arbroath.

The former Kilmarnock kid hopes that he can kick on and fire the Ton up the league as they look to boost their survival bid following his impressive performance at Gayfield.

He told the Tele: “I’m just happy to repay the confidence that the gaffer has shown in me by wanting to sign me and giving me the amount of game time that he has.

“It was a good performance from myself but it was an all-round good team performance.

“In saying that it is only the one game, and I’ll need to try my best to repeat that standard of performance.

“Obviously, I’m happy with the two assists but I’m happy to contribute for the team - whether that’s goals or assists - because they all help the cause.

“We’ve started the decade off with a good win, hopefully we can carry it on.

“If we beat Dunfermline this weekend, we can go level with them on points with a game in hand. That’s a massive incentive for us, we just need to keep it up.”
