JACK Baird believes a precious point gained at Tannadice will count for nothing if Morton lose Saturday’s six-pointer against Dundee.

The on-loan centre-half says that the Ton need to continue their positive run so they don’t undo the results of the last few weeks.

But he believes the Ton will be in for a tough afternoon and says that they will need to be at their very best if they are to secure another positive result.

He told the Tele: “It’s a big game for us on Saturday and obviously the results for us have been decent in the last few weeks.

“If you take the cup out of it, we’ve had a decent January and we’ve been decent at home, but Dundee are a really good team full of big players.

“Regardless of their form they are a good team and they will come at us strong.

“We need to do our best and it will be another tough game for us.

“If you’d have told me at the turn of the year that we would have turned things around like this and went up to Tannadice and got a point I’d have bitten your hand off, I would have been delighted.

“We need to come out of the game on Saturday with a decent result though or it undoes all the hard work that we’ve put in this month.

“You can’t have a successful January and start off February poorly.”
