KYLE Jacobs believes that Morton are beginning to look like the real deal after their ‘brilliant start’ to 2020.

The Ton midfielder has been in fine form since the turn of the year, which has been rewarded with a contract extension.

He believes that he and his team-mates are starting to iron out any rough edges under the tutelage of David Hopkin and can now fight for the play-off places.

Jacobs insists that despite their upturn in results there is no room for complacency as the Ton look to continue their form against Queen of the South this Saturday.

He told the Tele: “I think people are starting to buy into what the gaffer is trying to do.

"Personally I still think there’s room for improvement, and I think that always has to be the case.

“Everything is looking good at the minute and we are looking up the league instead of down.

“Things are positive in the sense that the team is playing better in games and the players are starting to gel and get on each other’s wavelength.

“Everything is looking good for us right now and that will hopefully continue as we move into the second half of the season.
“I’m looking forward to hopefully continuing my good form when I get back from injury.

“I want to push on over the next few weeks and reward the faith that the gaffer has shown in me since I arrived.”
