LUCA Colville believes Morton could launch a promotion charge if they get the right results in their next three games.

The 20-year-old feels that if Ton are at their best against Ayr, Queen of the South and Alloa then they could catapult themselves into the play-off places.

Colville told the Tele: “We know that the next three games are massive for us.

“We know that we just need to go into the games confident and play to our strengths.

“If we win the next three games it puts us right up there.

“Our league is so tight that a small run of games like that could change your season.

“Hopefully we can continue to pick the points up like we have since the turn of the year and see where that takes us.

“We know that they’re three massive games and that we need to be at our best for them.”

Ton’s stated target has been to stay in the division and build on that next season, but former Bradford man Colville says he now senses an opportunity to make ground immediately.

He said: “I’m signed on for next season but why wait til then to kick on when I can do something right now?

“I know what the gaffer wants and how he likes to play and that I can be successful here, so hopefully we can do that before the end of the season.”
