JIM McAlister has warned his team-mates that they will be facing a totally different challenge this time when they take on Alloa at Cappielow.

The Wasps were without key players such as Alan Trouten when Ton came out on top in the 2-0 away win at the Indodrill Stadium in December.

The Morton captain believes that their opponents will be a force to be reckoned with as they come into the game in good form.

He told the Tele: “Even recently without the likes of Alan Trouten, Andy Graham and Neil Parry, they’ve done really well in the last month or so.

“I’m really pally with Andy Graham, their captain, who’s struggling with a really bad back problem just now.

“Everyone thought they’d struggle without their big players but it’s gone the total opposite way with the way that the players have responded.

“They’ve had some great victories and picked up some notable draws along the way, so it’ll be interesting to see if they chuck in anybody like Trouten or big Andy or if they’ll stick with the boys who have been doing the business in that time.

“We know the incentive is there to go and get a win and hopefully put some distance between the two sides, but we know we need to take it one game at a time.”

Meanwhile, Morton’s postponed trip to Somerset Park against Ayr United has been rearranged for Tuesday.

The game will kick-off at 7.45pm.
