DANNY Rogers has opened the door to a possible permanent move to Morton.
The loanee Irishman has competed with Sam Ramsbottom for the first team place and admits that it’s looking likely that he will leave Aberdeen at the end of the season in search of regular first-team football.
Rogers believes that he is finally getting his form back after he and his team-mates had a great start to 2020.
He told the Tele: “I do want to be number one somewhere next year.
“Whether that’s here at Morton or not, I don’t know. I’m 90 per cent sure that I’ll be leaving Aberdeen.
“I’ve enjoyed having a good run in the team, especially since the turn of the year, and I think that has come in turn with the change in the results as well.
“I’ve just enjoyed my football so much and that pushes you on to do as well as you can.
“I’ve finally started to feel confident again in myself, not worrying about my knee and looking forward to a Saturday again.
“I did enjoy being a number two under Joe Lewis at Aberdeen, but I think that was because Aberdeen is such a big club and pushing for the league at the time.
“That was okay for a season, but it’s not a solution for long term.”
