AIDAN Nesbitt believes Morton have hit their peak at the right time as they enter the business end of the season.

The 23-year-old feels he has reached top form in recent weeks after scoring three times in six appearances from the wing, including a fine strike through the legs of Mark Ridgers against Inverness, pictured.

He believes that the performance levels of the whole team is coming together at just the right time.

He told the Tele: “I’d say I have been playing with a bit of freedom, as have the whole team.

“Over the last ten or so days, we’ve been able to show that we’re the better team and things have been clicking.

“There are boys who are on top form like Cadds [Nicky Cadden] who fully deserved player of the month. I’ve chipped in with a few goals and Kalvin Orsi has been superb.

“It’s not just me who’s playing with a bit of freedom, it’s everybody collectively.

“It’s all happening at the right time.

“I remember speaking to the Tele in November after the Dunfermline game and it was all doom and gloom.

“We were struggling to see where we could turn it round, but I definitely think that we have.

“Results are going our way now and on Saturday against Arbroath, we’ve managed to get a point when earlier in the season we wouldn’t have.”
