MORTON have landed a series of attractive ties in the Betfred Cup including a derby with Renfrewshire rivals St Mirren.
The draw for the group stages has just been made and Ton will meet Saints, Partick Thistle, Queen of the South and Queen's Park.
The Group G derby clash will bring Morton and St Mirren together for a first meeting in two seasons.
Meanwhile the Queen's Park tie means they will come up against former manager Ray McKinnon - who infamously walked out on the club a couple of years ago to take over at Falkirk.
The competition will kick off Ton's season at the start of October, ahead of the Championship campaign later that month.
Queen's also have former Ton men Bob McHugh and Michael Doyle in their ranks.
Ton played Queen of the South in last year's tournament, edging them out in a penalty shootout victory at Cappielow, pictured, to make the knockout stages of the competition, where they lost to Hibs.
Dates and venues for fixtures are still to be confirmed.
