MORTON have handed a trial to the younger brother of a Manchester United ace.

Paul Fosu Mensah, 19, younger brother of Old Trafford star Timothy, pictured, has been training with David Hopkin’s side over the course of the week as the manager continues to scour the market for defensive reinforcements.

Ton saw a loan agreement with St Johnstone defender Wallace Duffy cancelled this week after just five days, for 'non-footballing reasons’

Central defender Fosu Mensah came through the ranks at Ajax’s famous youth academy before leaving for Vitesse Arnhem last summer.

He is currently a free agent after leaving the Dutch side at the end of the 2019/20 campaign.

The teenager joins the likes of 26-year-old former Oldham man Tomas Egert in training as the pair look to earn a deal.

Egert played in the first half of a closed doors game against League One side Dumbarton at the weekend, while 20-year-old ex-Ross County kid James Wallace featured in the second half.
