MORTON have announced the signing of young Rangers player Josh McPake on loan.
The highly-rated 19-year-old has been pursued by the Cappielow outfit since the summer and a deal has now been finalised to bring him to the club until January.
McPake had a spell on loan at Dundee last term.
He had also been tracked by Linfield and Ayr United, but Ton boss David Hopkin has won the race for his signature.
He becomes the manager's fifth summer signing, joining Rabin Omar, Gary Oliver, Aidan McAdams and Ross MacIver at the club.
McPake, who made his first team debut for Rangers in a Europa League qualifier last summer, played seven times for Dundee during his loan at Dens Park.
He is under contract at Ibrox until 2022.
