MORTON have completed the signings of four players in a hectic day of transfer activity at Cappielow.

The Tele reported on the arrival of Josh McPake on loan earlier - and busy boss David Hopkin has added another three players to his pool this afternoon.

Defenders Michael Ledger and Markus Fjortoft and young forward James Wallace have all signed permanent deals with the club.

Ledger worked his way through the ranks at home town club Sunderland but gained most of his senior experience playing in Norway until a short loan-deal with Queen of the South in January was curtailed by the lockdown.

Fjortoft, 26, who joins from Hamilton Accies, has also played in America and New Zealand.

Wallace has been on trial at the club over the last couple of weeks.

He was previously on loan to Brora Rangers from Ross County and played against Ton in last year’s Scottish Cup, impressing Hopkin during the ties.
