SCOTT ARFIELD reckons Allan McGregor and Jon McLaughlin will bring out the best in each other this term.
McLaughlin has made his claim to be first choice keeper at Ibrox following his move from Sunderland in the summer.
But McGregor proved his class as he returned between the sticks and produced a stunning showing against Willem II on Thursday.
Boss Steven Gerrard has a decision to make over who to start when his side face Motherwell and Arfield wasn't surprised to see McGregor rise to the challenge in Holland.
Arfield said: “I don’t think there is anyone better one on one.
“His save at the start of the game when he parries it out is second to none. His shot stopping gives you so much confidence.
“Jon has been the same in making big saves at big moments. I think they will bring out the best in each other."
