MORTON’S second-half rally wasn’t enough as missed penalties from Kyle Jacobs and Josh McPake saw David Hopkin’s side suffer a dramatic shootout defeat to Renfrewshire rivals St Mirren.
The Ton bounced back from Saturday’s mauling against Raith Rovers with a solid defensive display.
After finding themselves a goal behind thanks to a first-half Jon Obika header, their fightback in the second half saw them level through substitute Ross MacIver.
