MORTON head into Christmas in third place in the Scottish Championship - and that’s certainly not something I personally would have predicted a few weeks ago.
Everyone at Cappielow at this moment in time should take a bow and accept our sincere thanks for overcoming a turbulent few weeks.
Against Arbroath and Hearts we looked devoid of any ideas from an attacking perspective but that changed for the better against Dunfermline and Queen of the South.
Added to the fact that we received a government grant of £500,000 along with financial endorsements from both chairman Crawford Rae and MCT will surely put to bed the false statements about the club being in financial trouble.
All in all Christmas certainly looks a lot brighter for everyone from a Morton persuasion.
Although I do say that with a note of caution as we all know from previous experiences that life as a Morton supporter usually has more downs than ups!
Bah humbug!
