MORTON’S five-game unbeaten streak under Anton McElhone came to an end after an attempted second-half comeback against on-form Queen of the South.
First-half goals from Ton’s summer trialist Ayo Obileye and Norwich City loanee Aidan Fitzpatrick caught McElhone’s side cold as they struggled to do anything purposeful with the bulk of possession that they enjoyed in a sluggish opening period.
Kalvin Orsi’s second-half strike sparked a reaction from Ton as they got a foothold back in the game but they couldn't find a second.
