ANTON McElhone and his Morton side etched their names into the history books by marking their first visit to Tynecastle in over 30 years with a draw against the champions-elect.
The gutsy performance was one to remember as Craig McGuffie’s second-half strike saw them defy the odds to come away from the capital with a point.
The 23-year-old’s strike nine minutes into the second half put Ton ahead after a barrage of pressure from Robbie Neilson’s side before Jambos sub Jamie Walker drew level for the league leaders with 19 minutes to play.
Ton’s defensive resilience was rewarded in the end as they withstood substantial Hearts pressure throughout the first half and for the last 20 minutes, despite some late scares, they held on for what could be a crucial point.
