SATURDAY’S 2-2 draw with Dundee at Cappielow felt a little bit like Morton threw away two points after twice taking the lead.

But in fairness it was probably a fair result as the home team had the better of the first half whilst the visitors edged the second period.

One thing I can say about the game itself was that it was an entertaining match and it’s not very often I have said that this season.

Both teams played decent football at times and perhaps proved that Morton can compete with the best teams in the Championship on their day.

I think it is fair to say we are most definitely in a relegation battle which means that this weekend’s home game against Ayr is quite possibly a must win game.

One thing for sure is that with 10 games left and on a run of nine games without a win Morton really do need to learn to hold onto a lead and somehow get those three points against an Ayr team that are in freefall!
