MORTON’S survival fight was dealt a last-minute blow as Lee Ashcroft’s smart finish two minutes from time held Gus MacPherson’s side to a point against Dundee at Dens Park.
Aidan Nesbitt thought he’d secured a valuable victory after he followed up on Lewis Strapp’s well-saved effort from the edge of the area on 78 minutes, only for the former Kilmarnock and Dunfermline defender to slam home from close range after beating the offside trap to meet Osman Sow’s flick-on.
