AT approximately 4.40pm on Saturday everything was looking good for Morton as we were heading for three points and moving up two places in the league and potentially closer to relegation safety.

Unfortunately the closing five minutes or so saw Dundee and Arbroath equalise therefore condemning us to continue in the relegation play-off position.

After the trouncing from Inverness on Tuesday we were all looking for a much-needed improvement against Dundee.

We certainly saw that - especially from a defensive point of view.

The players certainly looked as though they gave everything up at Dundee and to be honest a point against a promotion chasing outfit would be seen as a great point.

Unfortunately we have only three games left to save our season and we need the effort, commitment and desire from Saturday to be evident and somehow find a way of creating and scoring more goals along the way.
