WINGER Craig McGuffie insists that Morton have nothing to fear in the Championship relegation play-offs.

Ton will find out tonight who their opponents will be in play-off semi-final first leg out, with either Falkirk, Airdrie or Montrose in line to finish fourth in League One.

The Ton playmaker is under no illusions they face a difficult task to make it through to the finals.

But he insists that his side should go into the game with confidence regardless of who they come up against.

He told the Tele: “It was going to be tough anyway, but this year the play-offs will be especially difficult.

“There are some good teams there competing to come up, but I think that we are just as big and that we need to be positive.

“We need to be confident going into the games, we’ve got nothing to fear.

“We just need to try and sort the goalscoring problems out because again defensively we were solid against Arbroath.

“It has been the story of our season, not being able to put the ball in the back of the net.

“Maybe we just need a little bit of luck or a break of the ball to go into the back of the net for us.

“We’ve got to look at ourselves as well and see what we can do better because we are where we are for a reason.”
