WHILE watching Montrose TV on Saturday, for some unknown reason I felt confident that Morton would win the match.
A victory would have given ourselves a huge boost going into tonight’s return leg.
Fast forward 90 minutes of dire football and I wondered where I had gotten my feeling of confidence as once again the management team and the players on the park produced a completely lacklustre performance.
I mention the management team simply because they continue to pick two holding midfielders which does not work and this evening one of them should be replaced by either Reece Lyon or Luca Colville, pictured.
As for the players, we continually hear about their effort and commitment but it was clearly absent on Saturday not for the first time and their quality of play was abysmal.
I know I am not alone in wondering where we are going to get two goals from in the second leg match as we simply do not create chances and never look like scoring.
