AS Morton Club Together (MCT) gets set to take over the club, the team are about to participate in possibly the two most important fixtures in many a year.
These two play-off games will hopefully result in the new owners inheriting a Championship team rather than a League One team, otherwise MCT might struggle to encourage some of our supporters to come back to watch lower league football.
Thankfully the players overcame the first hurdle last week and, even though they are playing against an in-form Airdrie team, I believe that if they produce performances similar to the ones against Motherwell, Dundee and Hearts then they should have enough to see us through.
The fact that 500 of us will be in attendance on Friday night will hopefully spur the boys on and enable us to secure our Championship status and ensure that MCT begin their tenure from a positive perspective.
