MORTON'S Championship survival hopes have been dealt a massive blow with goalkeeper Aidan McAdams OUT of the play-off final after picking up an injury.

It is understood that the shot stopper, who completed a clean sweep of the club’s player of the year awards just over a fortnight ago, injured his hamstring late on in the semi final against Montrose.

The news that he has been ruled out comes just a day before Ton head to North Lanarkshire to face off against League One side Airdrie.

The Tele understands that Ton are trying to secure an emergency loan signing to take his place and that Motherwell's Scott Fox is on the club's radar.

The 33-year-old stopper has missed the majority of this season out injured after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament in pre-season but he has recently returned to first-team training as well as matchday squads for Graham Alexander’s men.
