DUNDEE have secured Luke McCowan after winning a tug-of-war with their Tayside rivals Dundee United for the Greenock ace's signature.
Both clubs were reportedly in advanced talks with the 23-year-old over a summer switch from Ayr United after four years at Somerset Park.
It's also understood McCowan attracted interest from English Championship club Cardiff City.
The former Notre Dame High School pupil is now looking forward to Premiership football under James McPake after the Dundee boss lured the winger to Dens Park this week.
McCowan was named Ayr United's player of the year after an impressive campaign with the Honest Men.
The versatile forward helped guide United to safety under former Morton boss David Hopkin who arrived in March.
