MORTON have brought former player Mark Russell back to the club.
Gus MacPherson has bolstered his squad's left hand side by handing former academy graduate Russell a Sinclair Street homecoming on a one-year-deal.
The 25-year-old, who can operate as a full-back or as a winger on the flank, returns to Inverclyde for a second spell after departing for Falkirk three years ago.
He has been with League of Ireland side Finn Harps since 2019, racking up a half century of appearances for the Donegal based side.
Russell turned out for Ton over 120 times under previous gaffer Jim Duffy, scoring four times.
He becomes the manager's second new signing of the summer, joining ex-Livingston man Alan Lithgow at the club.
