ON Saturday we found ourselves in the unfamiliar position of playing a Celtic B team at Airdrie in the SPFL Trust Trophy where many Morton supporters made the decision not to attend.

I think there were maybe around 70 or so of us who made the trip with some supporters stating their dislike for B teams being included in this cup whilst others deciding the Scotland game was their priority on the day.

I personally wanted to watch Morton play so didn’t really care who we were up against, but I totally understand other people's decisions on boycotting these types of fixtures.

Those of us who did attend got to see some of our new signings in action, although it probably wasn’t the type of match where you could make an instant decision on how they played.

It seems like the club did some good business on transfer deadline day by adding to the squad and here’s hoping they bring the extra bit of quality we have been lacking so far this season.
