MORTON couldn’t stop their winless run in the league as Dario Zanatta’s first-half strike condemned Gus MacPherson’s side to a fourth consecutive Championship defeat.
The Canadian’s deflected effort 11 minutes from the interval — which was Raith Rovers’ first effort on target — was all that separated the sides as Ton remained rooted in eighth place after seven games.
The Ton boss was once again left lamenting his players’ missed chances as they failed to find that all-important equaliser against the Fifers.
