MORTON’S four-game losing streak in the league finally came to an end with a hard-fought goalless draw against Ayr United at Somerset Park.
Neither side could find the breakthrough as Morton goalkeeper Jack Hamilton and Ayr shot stopper Charlie Albinson were well worthy of their clean sheets.
They made impressive stops in the stalemate as Gus MacPherson’s side got their first league point in over a month.
It was a game that won’t live long in the memory of the fans as clear-cut chances were in short supply across the 90 minutes, with both sides looking to end the first quarter in a positive manner.
