WHAT a shame only 500 or so Morton fans got to watch the demolition of Dunfermline on Saturday, although, I’m sure there were many more glued to Ton TV watching and listening to the excellent coverage from Gerry McDade and Andy Ritchie.

When the restrictions kicked in I was expecting to miss out on Saturday’s game as originally the two home fixtures were being allocated tickets on an alphabetical order.

With that in mind we decided to book hospitality for the game and to be honest I am extremely happy that we made that decision.

The hospitality at Morton, in my opinion, is second to none and it is a wonderful day out thanks to all the team within Cappielow.

Of course the day is made much more special when you get a result and performance from Dougie Imrie and his players like we did at the weekend.

For the first time is many months there was a bond between the players and supporters at the end of the match and hopefully the Dougie impact will allow this to prosper for the rest of the season.

It is certainly early days but let's enjoy the start to Dougie’s reign and, although I’m sure there will be some setbacks on the way, the end goal should be just to ensure our Championship status is secured come the end of the season.
