MORTON goal hero Gavin Reilly has credited his team-mates for helping him rediscover his goalscoring form following his double against Ayr United.

The Livingston loanee's haul sealed another valuable three points at Somerset Park as the Ton moved to within a point of the Honest Men and Reilly today praised Lewis Strapp and Gozie Ugwu for setting up his two goals at the weekend.

While Reilly has earned plaudits for his recent goalscoring exploits, he insists his team-mates' pinpoint deliveries have been key to him hitting top form in front of goal.

He told the Tele: “It was a great finish for the first goal but I've got to take my hat off to Lewis Strapp for that wicked ball into the box.

“I've always relied on the ball coming into those areas and for the two goals it was brilliant service from both he and Gozie.

"It looks good that I've scored two goals but it was two really good team goals in retrospect.

“It was tough at the start of the season as I was getting back up to the levels that I know I can but I just kept my head down and worked hard. I'm reaping those rewards now.

“I don’t know what the difference has been over the last few weeks, maybe it’s because we’re putting balls into good areas or it’s a reaction to the new manager coming in.

“I don’t think he’s changed a hell of a lot but for some reason it’s just clicked and that’s down to us on the park."
