THE feelgood Dougie factor rolls on for another week as Morton went down to Ayr at the weekend and returned home with another three points.

Watching the game on TV due to crowd restrictions is never the same, but we all hope that this is the last time we will endure that scenario.

The two goals we scored came about through some decent football and the new manager certainly seems to have us playing better but also maintaining that effort and commitment that he showed himself as a player.

A special mention must go to the small number of POW supporters who managed to gain access to the game and made themselves heard during the live broadcast!

Hopefully a much larger Morton support will travel through to Motherwell on Saturday where I think it’s fair to say we will be massive underdogs.

It’s a venue we have not had much success in recent years but I personally will accept a decent performance and don’t let ourselves down even if we get knocked out the cup.

A cup run would be brilliant but the main objective at this stage of the season is all about retaining our Championship status.
