THE unbeaten run under Dougie Imrie continued on Saturday as Morton once again showed their determination and effort to not accept defeat despite given some difficult circumstances.

Against the run of play we found ourselves a goal down, facing a Queen of the South team determined on wasting time at every opportunity and a referee who was simply as poor as it gets.

Thankfully the boys didn’t feel sorry for themselves but instead continued to force the play and with 10 minutes to go got what they deserved.

The winning goal was greeted with a response from us supporters that has not been seen at Cappielow for some considerable time.

The game itself may not have been a classic but if Morton had lost it would have been a travesty.

But the fighting spirit the manager exhibited as a player has been instilled into this group of players and has most certainly been noticed by a much happier Morton support.
