IN summing up the past week watching Morton I would suggest that it was very acceptable as we initially lost at Hamilton in a dour game, won by battling hard at Thistle in midweek and gained an extremely valuable point at home to the league leaders on Saturday.

Looking at the bigger picture four points out of a possible nine might not sound great but I think if we keep that going through the final quarter we should gain sufficient points to keep us in the Championship.

There have been times this season that I believed we quite possibly would not achieve that goal, so if we eventually do that then a lot of people should enjoy a well-deserved pat in the back and none more so than Dougie Imrie.

The transformation since he came in has been remarkable and whilst every team in this league looks capable of beating each other it is only since Imrie came in that we seem to believe that is the case.

We now have another massive game on Saturday against Queen of the South and in my opinion a win in Dumfries might just go a long way to ensuring we will remain in this extremely tight league.
