SATURDAY’S draw at Cappielow against Ayr highlighted both pros and cons.
The most important pro is the fact that we gained a point on the two teams currently occupying the automatic relegation position and also the relegation play-off spot.
One of the key cons was for the second game in succession we conceded a goal from a near-post corner.
I think it’s also fair to say the game also highlighted the lack of creativity from the midfield to forwards which I think is something us Morton fans have noticed on a fair few occasions throughout the season.
The aim for everyone with allegiance to our club is simply to avoid relegation and we seem to be in a reasonably comfortable position with five games left.
Hopefully once we achieve that goal the club will look towards next season where with a few quality signings we might compete at the top end of the league rather than fight relegation as we had to do both last season and this one.
