ONE more game left for the season before we can pack our scarves and shirts away until July.

We have ended the campaign with a couple of disappointing results but overall with a degree of satisfaction that we managed to stay out of the relegation places.

What the players and management team have achieved since December has been absolutely tremendous and hopefully we can look forward to a more successful season ahead in 2022-23.

Or can we?

After slipping to defeats at home to both Hamilton and Inverness, there is a feeling that the squad needs a major overhaul otherwise we will be fighting relegation for the third season in a row.

If the rumours about even more cost cutting are to be believed then how is Dougie Imrie expected to improve the squad and have us challenging at the top end of the Championship?

It is clear to me that MCT require a major cash investment from outside otherwise the club will simply not have sufficient finances to compete with the so-called bigger clubs in our league and perhaps lead to us losing our major assets of which Imrie is one.
