MIDFIELDER Iain Wilson has rejected Morton’s contract offer to make the move to League One side Queen of the South.
The former Kilmarnock man re-joins another one of his former clubs on a deal until 2024.
He joined Dougie Imrie’s side in January on an initial six-month contract but was offered an extension to stay beyond the end of his current deal.
He has instead made the switch back to Palmerston Park for the up-and-coming campaign.
Wilson was one of six players either in discussion with the club or had been offered new terms, but he has opted against remaining at Cappielow where he will now join up with ex-Ton team-mate Gavin Reilly.
It now remains to be seen whether Imrie will go into the market for a replacement for the midfielder, who netted once for the Greenock side in a 1-1 draw with Dunfermline in March.
