MORTON will kick-off their Championship campaign against Hamilton Accies next month.

Dougie Imrie's men found out they will travel to New Douglas Park for the curtain-raiser on July 30 after the SPFL announced the 2022-23 fixture list yesterday morning.

The following week will see newly-promoted side Cove Rangers travelling to Cappielow for the first time in their history as Ton host last season’s League One winners for their opening home clash.

Two weeks later on August 20 they will host relegated Premiership side Dundee who will be looking to bounce straight back to Scotland’s top flight at the first attempt, and the Ton will then travel to play-off victors Queen’s Park on September 10.

The three league fixtures in the month of December for the Ton sees the Greenock men travel to Arbroath before hosting the Spiders and facing Raith Rovers at Stark's Park on Christmas Eve.

Morton will kick off the new year by hosting Ayr United on January 2.

The Greenock side will round off the 2022-23 league campaign with a trip up north to the Balmoral Stadium to take on Cove on Friday May 5.
