MORTON are currently extremely early into the new league season.
But it is perhaps a little bit surprising that we are sitting with four points from six considering the apparent doom and gloom within the club.
We know there are financial difficulties at Cappielow and that we have an extremely young squad, who are also lacking a little bit of extra quality.
However, if we get the effort and commitment we saw on Saturday against Cove Rangers we might actually do okay this season.
Hopefully the lack of financial funds will somehow get resolved and Dougie Imrie brings in a creative midfielder and striker which might just get the supporters excited about having a reasonable season.
We attended hospitality on Saturday and I cannot speak more highly about that experience as it’s a wonderful way to watch the game and of course a win makes everybody happy.
As I have said before I expect we will endure many lows over the rest of this season, but at this moment in time I am certainly not as pessimistic as I originally was.
